Air Canada is confirming that five people were removed from a Toronto-bound flight in Venezuela on Friday due to “immigration issues.”
A flight in Caracas was
preparing for takeoff when authorities removed the five people from the
airplane. They removed four Iranians and an Afghan. After they removed them
from the plain they discovered that they did not have visas or airplane
tickets.
Air Canada spokesperson
Peter Fitzpatrick confirmed in an email to CTV News that flight AC075 was
delayed in Caracas for approximately five hours on Friday due to “immigration
issues.”
Charges linked to the
illegal trafficking of foreigners will be laid against four people.
Air Canada says it
employs a third-party company to provide airport services in Caracas.
I don’t know why those 5 people were on the airplane there could be several reasons why. They could have had no money and tried to sneak there way by. They could have tried to bomb the airplane. No one knows why they did that and how they got across the security the investigations are ongoing and hopefully they can figure out the reason why these people were on the airplane and if it is a bad reason hopefully they get a punishment to teach them a lesson.
